Located near the southernmost tip of the Isle of Wight, Maytime Cottage offers spacious high quality self catering accommodation for six people, with an enclosed garden and parking for two cars.The cottage has been tastefully extended, renovated and re-fitted, offering spacious accommodation, with facilities and equipment of a very high standard.
Maytime Cottage is set in beautiful and tranquil countryside, just one mile from the village of Whitwell, and four miles from the Victorian resort of Ventnor and also close to some of the Island's finest beaches.
Easy access to beaches, and walking trails combined with the multitude of activities and attractions in the area, means that you can enjoy many different kinds of holiday from a single base.
Maytime Cottage has a large living area comprising a sitting room, a large kitchen-diner and a further reception room opening onto the patio and rear garden.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has the benefit of washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave as well as electric hob and oven.
There is a bathroom and WC upstairs and a shower room and WC on the ground floor.
The sleeping accommodation is in 3 bedrooms. the first a large double room with double bed, the second is also a double room with a 3ft single bed and a set of 3ft bunk beds. The third bedroom is a single room with a 3ft single bed. Bed linen is provided for up to six people.
Heating is provided by gas central heating. There is also a wood burning stove in the living room.
Plum Tree Cottage
Plum Tree Cottage is a 19th century stone farm cottage which has been completely renovated in 2005/6 and offers superb quality holiday accommodation for up to six people.
The cottage is situated in a quiet rural lane, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a few minutes walk from the village of Godshill.
The cottage features an open plan living area with a wood burning stove. The kitchen adjoins the living room and is modern and well equipped. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and a single room with bunk beds. All bedrooms offer views over the surrounding countryside. The bathroom /WC is also on the first floor.
The cottage is attached to one other similar cottage, yet offers complete privacy inside and out with a large enclosed private garden with patio and parking area for 2 cars. The cottage is fully centrally heated making it ideal for holidays and getaways at any time of year.
The cottage is centrally heated and also has a multifuel stove in the living room for a real fire, - ideal for cooler evenings in Spring or Autumn. The spacious open plan living area leads into the beautifully fitted kitchen which features a washer dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave and electric hob and oven.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a double bed, middle bedroom with two singles and a single room with 3' bunk beds. The bathroom/WC with shower is also located on the first floor.
The spacious garden extends around 3 sides and is mainly lawned, with some fruit trees (hence the name) and is bordered by mature hedgerows. There is a south facing patio area with garden furniture and BBQ.
We welcome well behaved dogs by prior arrangement.
