Days Out on the Isle of Wight
During your holiday on the Island, you will find that there is an abundance of great things to see and do, which make for wonderful days out on the Isle of Wight. There are so many marvellous attractions and activities to enjoy, that you will be spoiled for choice when deciding where to go. There are fun-packed days out on the Isle of Wight to suit all ages, so whether you are young, or just young at heart, you will find there is something for everyone.
With the Island being the sailing capital of the world, its not surprising that watersports feature highly when it comes to spending great days out on the Isle of Wight. Yachts, motor boats, windsurfers and jet skiers are a common sight on the waters surrounding the Island. Other great things to do whilst on holiday on the Isle of Wight is to visit one of the museums, art galleries or historic buildings, such as Osborne House, the seaside retreat of Queen Victoria.
The oldest attraction on the Isle of Wight is Shanklin Chine, a historic gorge in the lovely setting of Shanklin Old Village and is well worth a visit. It is a magical world of natural beauty with rare flora and fauna and a spectacular waterfall. There are many other great ways to spend your time on the Isle of Wight, which include ten-pin bowling, ice skating, as well as sightseeing and taking advantage of the superb beaches on the Island which include several award winning Blue Flag beaches.
