If you’re looking for intimate and tranquil Isle of Wight B&B holiday accommodation, you’ve just found it. The Fernbank Bed and Breakfast is situated in a delightful, elevated position just above the thatched roofs of the famous, picturesque Old Village in Shanklin. The Fernbank was extensively refurbished in spring 2010, and now offers classic country house-style accommodation in which to relax, unwind and discover the beautiful Isle of Wight.
The Fernbank nestles at the foot of St Martins Down, surrounded with old stone walls and beautiful Victorian villas, overlooking its own sub-tropical landscaped gardens, with superb indoor pool and private sun garden. You will find the guest accommodation just a stone’s throw from the beach and the many lovely pubs and restaurants Shanklin Old Village has to offer. It truly is one of the most beautiful locations on the Isle of Wight.
The Fernbank features an all day light-bite menu and well-stocked bar. We endeavour to offer the finest service, value and standards to our guests within a quiet location. Breakfast is a real occasion, served in our Garden Room, with only the finest and freshest local produce on offer. Our superb heated indoor pool is open from 8am-8pm daily, with adjoining sun trap garden - ideal for relaxing after a refreshing dip. There is ample off-road parking on the premises, and complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
All the comfortable rooms are en-suite, stylishly furnished and include crisp cotton linen, en-suite facilities, colour TV, clock radios, hairdryers and tea & coffee making facilities. Choose from superior, standard, family, double or twin rooms. There is also one single room. Superior rooms have those added extra touches, including flat screen televisions, DVD players, ironing facilities and superior toiletries. These rooms all have views of our sub-tropical garden. We offer a ground floor level-access room with an en-suite wet room, suitable for guests with slightly less mobility.
