Welcome to St Catherine's House in the lovely old Victorian town of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight.

Over the years St Catherine's has been renovated without detriment to its fine heritage, retaining many original features. Charm effortlessly flows around our bed and breakfast which also enjoys a wonderful position resting in a quiet private road which is one of Ventnor´s best kept secrets. It is also the perfect base in Ventnor from where you can explore this beautiful island either by walking, bike or car

Ventnor is a friendly little town which offers an award-winning beach approximately a five-minute walk from the house. There is also a variety of very good eateries and pubs plus an excellent Michelin star French restaurant which is less than a 3 minute walk. We are also close to The Botanic Gardens, Ventnor Park (which supports free jazz entertainment in the summer months) and beautiful Steephill Cove offering another lovely fish restaurant and two cafes on the beach.

Our aim, at St Catherine's, is to provide you with a haven of peace and tranquility during your stay at our beautiful B&B where you can totally relax and melt your cares away. It comprises of three gorgeous rooms, all tastefully furnished, decorated and equipped to a very high standard. All our bedrooms provide ample drawer and wardrobe space and are equipped with hairdrier, bathrobes, TV, DVD, radio/CD, WiFi, generous hospitality tray offering a selection of biscuits and chocolate plus fresh flowers to greet you in your room upon your arrival.

Bedroom 1 is a large room with a lovely private bathroom and shower. Bedroom 2 enjoys a beautiful en-suite with huge walk-in shower. Bedroom 3 is a delightful room which we only let to parties of four or more sharing its lovely bathroom facilities with Bedroom 1. All of our beautiful bedrooms are relaxing and provide privacy and total escapism and our pretty terraced subtropical garden is just perfect for relaxing with a glass or two of something special.

A non-returnable deposit of 25% is required to reserve a booking, which can be made via BACS, cheque or PayPal found on the ´Contact Us´ page of the St Catherine´s website. Unfortunately, owing to the Victorian design of the property, we are unable to take children under 14, pets or wheelchair-bound guests.

Dear Shelley & Duncan. What a find! A big, light, airy beautifully-decorated room with the most sumptuous, comfortable bed I have ever slept in (including my own!). Wonderful hospitality with more touches than most of the 5-star hotels I have stayed in. Wine, chocolates, fresh flowers and a very impressive in-room tea selection (very important in my eyes!). Both bedroom and bathroom very clean and luxurious. Perfect attention to detail in all areas. And, just when you think it couldn't get any better...there's breakfast! Wow! Perfect poached eggs and 'real' tea!
