With the largest membership in Cowes, the ISC provides a year-round warm and welcoming haven ashore for all sailing folk, Islanders and Mainlanders, young and old.The ISC offers so much more to its members at an outstanding value-for-money membership cost. Club Restaurant & Bar
Open through the year with a wide variety of hot and cold food, snacks and friendly bar. Overlooking the harbour, fairway and the Solent with probably the best sailing views in Cowes. A wonderful, friendly, easy place to meet and chat, ideal for special sailing dinners, Club functions, weddings, special celebrations, rallies and regattas. The Beken Room is a smaller, intimate room with relaxed lounge seating. Enjoy your meal!
Accommodation
Six cabins for single or twin occupancy at very attractive rates and conveniently located next door to the Club. Recently completely redecorated and upgraded with new beds, carpets, curtains, bedding and fluffy towels! Cafes adjacent for the breakfast of your choice. Disabled access off the High Street and into the Club. Relax with a sleep over!
Sonar Sailing Boats
The Club has its own ISC maintained matched fleet of 9 Sonar keel boats available for hire to members and non members, corporate organisations and other Clubs. Great for gentle sailing or lively team and match racing. Launch service to moorings below Floating Bridge. Showers and changing rooms. Roof terrace, marquee and barbecue area available. Come and sail with us!
Racing Events
The ISC has an excellent race management track record with a vantage point start box overlooking the Fairway. Organises the popular Tuesday night racing through the Season, with several classes and usually 60 - 80 yachts of all sizes. Race management team available to plan and organise regattas, rallies and hospitality. Come and compete!
Round the Island Race
The Club organises the world famous JPMorgan Asset Management "Round the
Island Race" for over 1800 competitors. A "not to be missed day" for families, amateurs and professional sailors. If you only do one race a year this is the one - 23rd June 2007. Cups and trophies for all classes and a tankard for every valid finisher! Come round with us!
Club Activities
Interesting functions throughout the year with active member participation. Cadet training, Cruising Fleet days out, cycling section, Scottish dancing, quiz evenings, RYA shore based courses, informal theatre group and the famous annual Bramble Bank cricket match. Tuesday night talks and hatch supper throughout the Winter season. ISC slipway, scrubbing berth and pontoon. Check us out - you will be afforded a warm welcome!
