UKSA is the Island’s top watersports centre with a huge array of short courses available. Whether you are looking to develop existing skills, learn something new or just have some fun - we are sure to have the course for you!
Our leisure courses are programmed all year round for both children (age six upwards) and adults. We offer a variety of disciplines, from dinghy sailing and kayaking, to windsurfing and Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP). We provide quality training on either a one to one or group basis. Many of our courses have certification attached to them.
We are ideally located along the waterfront in Cowes on the beautiful Isle of Wight, and our instructors take full advantage of the great beach locations and the 60 miles of stunning coastline the Island has to offer. Being on an island means we can nearly always find wind somewhere, so we can make the most of the weather conditions.
Use our fantastic residential facilities as a base to explore the Isle of Wight and all it has to offer. Whether you are visiting the Island on a family break, an educational visit or sports event, our warm, clean, safe accommodation makes it the ideal choice for somewhere to stay. Full board with three meals a day, including a packed lunch for when you're on the move and use of all facilities, including heated indoor pool, internet café, bar and coffee shop. Our campus has dormitory-style accommodation for up to 200 people and a range of en-suite twin and single rooms.
Our short courses include: RYA Dinghy Sailing, RYA National Sailing Scheme, Kayaking, Windsurfing, Stand Up Paddleboarding and Multi-Activity.
Our kids’ camps include tuition to national governing body standards in dinghy sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. A high level of care and supervision is provided and a full evening entertainment programme ensures that young people are occupied and entertained from early morning until bedtime.
UKSA is a youth charity. Our work is focused in three areas: professional training for maritime careers, school and group visits, and youth development.
