The Steamer Inn stands in one of the finest waterside locations on the Isle of Wight. This popular pub and B&B accommodation boasts panoramic views across the English Channel, and a superb safe sandy beach is just a pebble´s throw away. You would be hard pressed to find a better base for a holiday on the Isle of Wight. Shanklin has held the sunshine record for the United Kingdom for many years.
The town and quaint Old Village are within easy walking distance via the cliff lift. The Steamer Inn offers eight rooms providing excellent Isle of Wight bed and breakfast accommodation all year round. All rooms include en-suite facilities and four have balconies overlooking the sea where you can watch the sun rise over Culver Down. Breakfast is served from 8.30 - 9.00 am in the pub.
Our kitchen has a growing reputation for excellent local ´nammit´, including the world renowned Ventnor Bay crab and lobster. We are a free house offering a selection of traditional ales, lagers, wines and spirits. Why not sample our wares in the spacious bar with its large collection of seafaring memorabilia, or relax on the terrace and watch the world go by. During the season, live entertainment is provided nightly. The bar is open at The Steamer Inn every day for coffee, tea, light snacks, meals, refreshments and children´s meals. The sun terrace overlooks the sea.
