Description

Red Funnel operates the newest cross-Solent fleet of vehicle ferries and Red Jet Hi-Speed catamarans on routes between Southampton and East and West Cowes at the northern tip of the Island. The passenger/vehicle ferries are the largest of their kind serving the Island and operate hourly (during the holiday season) between Southampton and East Cowes. Onboard one of the Red Funnel ferries, you will find a wide range of delicious hot and cold food, a fully stocked bar and great coffee, cakes and pastries from the Steam Coffee Company. Take a stroll around the spacious decks and enjoy the views along Southampton water and the Solent or just relax in the comfortable lounge areas. The passenger only Red Jet departs at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour, linking Southampton with West Cowes. This route provides the fastest return service between London Waterloo and the Isle of Wight for rail passengers. A refreshments service is provided onboard.

Southampton to West Cowes
Turn up and take off... The Red Jet Hi-Speed passenger catamarans operate between Southampton & West Cowes throughout the day, seven days a week. This foot passenger only crossing takes just 23 minutes, so sit back, relax and cross the Solent in comfort and style. Foot passengers only - Crossing time 23 minutes (35 knots) - Onboard drinks service - Turn-up and go - no need to book! - Wheelchair friendly -Sorry no toilets or bicycles

Southampton to East Cowes
Red Funnel operates three purpose-built passenger vehicle ferries between Southampton and East Cowes, Isle of Wight. These vehicle ferries are the newest and largest to serve the Isle of Wight and operate throughout the day and night, 364 days a year (we only take Christmas Day off!). The ferries can carry any size vehicle that will fit underneath a motorway bridge and have extensive on-board facilities including a Steam Coffee Company outlet, ReFuel our onboard cafeteria serving a wide range of hot and cold food and Bar 1861, which stocks a wide choice of beers, wines and spirits. Passengers and all vehicle types.
